GovTact provides network infrastructure support services, software development, end-user support services, and technical training services in support of an enterprise-wide system with 16,000+ users. The GovTact team has successfully utilized robotic process automation, technological convergence, and autonomic computing capabilities to build a robust, rapidly deployable, and highly available platform.
The GovTact team has successfully utilized a variety of open-source technologies to create a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline that integrates with an environment that consists of both traditional virtualization environments, cloud-hosted environments, and containerized environments. This creates a seamless fabric between the environments allowing the platform to leverage the advantages of all three environments in a highly available way.
The team was able to accomplish this by modernizing the legacy, monolithic systems and converting them into micro-services that allowed for a considerable amount of consolidation and introduced parallel tasking and machine to machine communications by integrating through the application programming interfaces (APIs). The use of the APIs enabled the team to leverage both robotic process automation and autonomic computing more effectively.
