The GovTact team works on the front line of the research, development, design, and deployment of a state-of-the-art enterprise data lake solution that is revolutionizing the way our customer interacts with its data.
The GovTact team provides end-to-end development solutions to meet customer needs for big data normalization and analytics. By providing support throughout the software development life cycle, we ensure that the software continues to function optimally through the various stages of routine maintenance, upgrades, testing, monitoring, new features, new releases, and platform upgrades.
The GovTact team uses a wholistic approach to software development that includes documentation pertaining to all aspects that impact the successful operation of the applications including the application’s design elements, service dependencies, operating environments, and other constraints to provide a reference for future operations and maintenance planning and execution.
In support of this effort, the GovTact team performs a vital role in the data normalization process that requires data feeds from hundreds of sources, in varying formats that include structured and unstructured data, to be analyzed. Once the analysis is complete, the GovTact team develops algorithms for the data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) applications in order for it to be ingested properly.
The GovTact team leads the modernization efforts of monolithic, legacy solutions transforming them into cloud-ready, automated, and scalable solutions. These solutions utilize native cloud services for backend data storage, clustered and/or highly available databases, and serverless applications, ensuring functionality issues are mitigated.
The GovTact team provides cutting-edge solutions through a process of continual innovation. This is accomplished through our on-going efforts to discover the latest tools and processes for each solution through tool evaluations and process improvement evaluations. New tools are evaluated for cost savings, efficiency, integrability as well as for the ease of integration into existing and future solutions. Tools that meet the appropriate requirements will be integrated into our technology stack.
The GovTact team is also responsible for triaging and responding to trouble tickets and providing quick resolutions to the identified technical issues as well as resolving user and system issues.
