Government Tactical Solutions (GovTact), a national security firm, has received the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Program Platinum Medallion Award from the Department of Labor (DOL).
The HIRE Vets Award implements the requirements of the HIRE Vets Act of 2017 (Public Law 115-31). The award is the only federal award recognizing exceptional achievement in veteran employment.
Recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.
GovTact meets the criteria required for a Platinum Medallion Award with its veteran hiring and workplace practices. GovTact, a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), was founded by a Marine veteran in 2011. 23 percent of GovTact employees are veterans. The company also has a veteran mentorship program for veteran team members.
“This recognition is an incredible honor as a veteran-focused company,” said Paul Sanchez, GovTact CEO. “Since founding GovTact a decade ago, it has always been a priority to hire veterans and ensure they have a work environment to be successful. Our veteran team members are essential to our company, and we are proud to have such a strong representation of veterans at GovTact.”
