
Government Tactical Solutions (GovTact) has hired Mark Carnahan as chief technology officer (CTO).
Carnahan has nearly two decades of experience in the information technology industry. As CTO, Carnahan will help strengthen the company’s technical offerings, ensuring that GovTact is well positioned to anticipate customer’s technical needs and provide the experience and expertise in emerging technologies required to solve the mission-critical challenges they face.

Carnahan previously served as global head of infrastructure for an international insurance firm. Through the course of his career, he has served in a variety of leadership positions for multiple government contractors leading IT operations and transforming both networks and organizations through an “out-of-the-box” mindset.
Carnahan earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mary Washington. He is a member of InfraGuard and has contributed as a member of the Cybersecurity Special Interest Group. He also holds a variety of advanced technical certifications from Cisco and MikroTik with a focus on network security in addition to other disciplines. He has a decade of experience working in various cloud environments specializing in non-traditional networking.
